GOING WIRELESS

Wireless technology used with computers known as Bluetooth is now being modified for use with hearing aids. A new product called The Ear Level Instrument (ELI) by Starkey Laboratories provides wireless connections between hearing-instrument users and Bluetooth-compatible devices. The ELI allows a person's Bluetooth compatible cell phone to communicate directly with their hearing device. It can be used with other Bluetooth devices as well. The result is better sound quality and clarity. The Ear Level Instrument has its own power source and does not rely on the hearing instrument for power.
